From Saif's sidekick to Bollywood hero

Deepak Dobriyal shot to prominance, thanks to his brilliant performance as Saif Ali Khan's sidekick Rajju in Omkara. He followed it up with good appearances in films like Gulaal and Delhi 6, and even bagged lead roles in two of his forthcoming films.
But Deepak had his fair share of struggle and more before he manage to land good roles in Bollywood. He takes Patcy N through his journey from his hometown Gharwal, Uttarkhand, to showbiz. Over to Deepak:

I was born in Gharwal but my parents shifted to Delhi when I was four. That's where I did my education. I joined the Asmita theatre group, and worked with them for six years. I left the group when I was 23 years old. Then, I joined the street theatre group, Act One, and worked there for a year. I was a regular at Mandi House, which is associated with art and culture, and that's what made me want to become an actor.
