Shahrukh Khan is a man of word. Whenever he promised to address any press conference or attend any function he was sure to be there at the scheduled time. But this time he failed to keep his word and could not attend the press conference for Star Plus’s “Kya Aap Paanchvi Paas Se Tez Hain?” The King Khan just returned from Berlin film festival and he was about to start for the venue but he had to return from mid-way because of the tension in the city.
Due to the highly tensed situation in the state of Maharashtra, he failed to appear at the conference where many media persons were eagerly waiting for a glimpse of the actor. The arrest of MNS leader Raj Thackeray last noon put the state on high alert as activists blocked roads to protest against the arrest. In this tense situation, Star Plus did not want to put his life into danger and so asked him to return. In the conference, SRK was to address the press and place his view point regarding the show. But, unfortunately he failed to be there.
The programme started with the unveiling of the logo by director Siddarth Basu. Mr. Basu interacted with the media, apologizes for not having Shahrukh at the conference and spoke on behalf of him. Though the event passed smoothly, Shahrukh’s absence was felt. “Kya Aap Paanchvi Paas Se Tez Hain?” is the most awaited show on television and would be aired very soon.
